Malcolm (Dad)

Malcolm started his career as a toolmaker in 1966. After completing his apprenticeship, he joined the army, training as a mechanic on all types of vehicles - including tanks! After leaving the army he began working as a marine engineer on tankers travelling around the British coastline.
In the seventies, Malcolm realised a lifelong ambition and set up his own car servicing and repair company - Motor-Tek. Used car sales were introduced in the late 80's and Motor-Tek Car Sales was incorporated into the list of serivces we provide, blossoming into the successful business you see today.

David's interest in things automotive began at the age of 12 when he began helping out in the garage. After leaving school, David qualified as a motor engineer at college, the course including job placement at a local main dealership. In 1993 he joined his father in the family business. David's employment meant that they could offer a larger variety of services and David began to inspect vehicles for customers looking to purchase used cars. He became a familiar face around the local dealerships.

Scott met Christine (Malcolm and Hazel's daughter) in 1994. Typically he was often 'volunteered' to help out in the garage and found he enjoyed the work. Disillusioned with his career in the leisure industry, he decided to go back to college to study motor engineering. Scott qualified as a motor engineer and joined the family business.
Subsequently Motor-Tek Car Sales was renamed MDS Cars.

Hazel looks after the company's bookkeeping and administration.

Suffice to say everyone knows who the REAL boss is!
